Suzy Harris betrayed the children of Oregon
Suzy Harris as legal specialist for the Oregon Department of Education consistantly sided with school districts not the child. She eliminated Retaliation protection to parents and children. She discriminated against parents and children by weighing evidence in favor of the districts, Children would have to go to school wearing audio and video survalence to prove their case while districts could lie through their teeth and it was taken as true fact. Suzy Harris now pretends to be a lawyer for special education children. Suzy Harris has betrayed the children of Oregon. Go to www.oiar.org to find out more.

What an ugly story in Eugene. I remember a few years ago I received a call from a parent in Eugene. I asked her how her son was doing in school seeing as it was 3 weeks into the beginning of school.
Her son was with her at home. There was no room in the classrooms for him.
She moved into the state before school had started, met with the school with the previous IEP in hand. Talk about illegal!
Something is wrong with Eugene. I don't know what or why, but there is a problem. I wonder if the autism/asperger's middle school they created is now backfiring. Because Oregon educators love to go by the letter of the law and not the spirit of the law, I wonder if they thought any kid with autism or aspergers WILL go to that school.
Oops. It sounds like Larry Sullivan in Eugene needs to go. Someone is covering butts over there. Try Mary Broadhurst in Eugene. She works well with the schools if you want to go mediation and not fighting.
What a mess.
I went to your website but the story on the Due Process is broken. Can you put it back up?
Due Process
I think this is the Due Process:

In reading it, the parents "sort of" won. On paper, that is. I'm sure that the several months of tutoring their son will receive will be of exceptional quality (not) and efficient (doubt it). I'm very certain that the "independent party" involved in placing the boy will not be influenced by the district (yeah, right).
As usual, when the district loses, nothing changes. The district should have been held responsible for obvious infractions, outright law breaking, and staff that went on a power binge.
